APA and CorpComms awards for Waitrose, Argos, Orange


John Brown won three awards at the 2009 APA International Customer Publishing awards last night, alongside a 2009 CorpComms Award and a host of commendations from judges.

With over 700 entries for the 26 categories, it was the most competitive APA Awards yet. John Brown picked up three awards for Best Use of Typography and Best Consumer title (Waitrose Food Illustrated), and Best Internal Communication (Argos Post). Waitrose Food Illustrated was the only title or project that won more than one award on the night.

Special APA commendations were given to Virgin’s Roger magazine in the Best Internal Communications category won by Argos Post, RBS’s Business Sense in the Best Business to Business magazine category, and Chelsea FC’s Bridge Kids in the Best Use of Video award.

At the prestigious 2009 CorpComms awards, meanwhile, John Brown’s internal publication for Orange, Orange News won the Best Corporate Publication (Private Sector companies) category, completing a great night for John Brown and its clients.
